The Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce is honoring several local business leaders at a luncheon May 20.

Honorees include Garry L. Anderson of Garry's Grill, chosen as Small Business Person of the Year.

"Mr. Anderson operates restaurants which incorporate quality and creativity with excellent service," said Linda Zahn, executive director of the chamber. "Even the bread for its French toast is made in-house from scratch."

Nominated as Media Advocate of the Year was Margueritte T. Mills, editor and owner of the Severna Park Voice newspaper.

Ms. Mills was also named as the 1993 First Runner-Up in the Media Advocate of the Year category for Maryland.

The Small Business Advocate of the Year was Arthur D. Ebersberger, who won that title for Maryland. Mr. Ebersberger has been active in the community for 20 years, serving with the Severna Park Jaycees and the Sheltered Workshop of Anne Arundel County, as well as working with the Maryland Small Business Advocates, an active voice for small businesses. He has supported the interests of small business on both the county and state legislative levels.
