Correction

May 12, 1993

In an April 30 article in The Sun on financial management disarray at the Pentagon, it was incorrectly stated that the Air Force paid contractors more than $630 million to store communications satellites that were not reflected in Air Force records. The Air Force actually spent most of the money to buy the satellites and used less than $1 million a year to store them.

The Sun regrets the error.
