Newsletter gives thrifty living tips

Cynthia Hillson, a Mooresville, N.C., woman who wrote the booklet "How to Feed Your Family on $45 a Week," has started a newsletter for the cost-conscious called "Thriving on Thrift."

Designed to save time and stretch food dollars, it's full of money-saving recipes and hints on how to save on health care, electricity and other household expenses.

The idea, says Ms. Hillson, mother of six, is to encourage people to get back to basic home economics.

Cost for a one-year subscription (six issues) of "Thriving on Thrift" is $12.

To subscribe, send a check to "Thriving on Thrift," P.O. Box 2036, Cornelius, N.C. 28031.
