Fox adds little summer heat

May 11, 1993|By David Zurawik

Usually Fox is the place to be in summer TV. But from the schedule announced yesterday, it looks like Fox has caught the summer blahs from the other broadcast networks.

The only new entry is "Danger Theater," a weekly half-hour comedy series lampooning TV shows of the '70s and '80s. The show, which will debut at 7:30 p.m. July 11, will have Robert Vaughn of "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." as host.

The only other news is that "Key West" will return on Tuesday nights starting June 1. "Key West" was the lowest-rated series in all of prime-time TV this year before it was pulled from the schedule.

Also on June 1, Fox will begin airing two repeats each week of "Beverly Hills, 90210" throughout the summer. The last original episode of "Beverly Hills, 90210" airs May 19.
