* Ellicott City: 9800 block of Longview Drive: A rear door was kicked open between 6 a.m. Tuesday and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, and a VCR was stolen.

3800 block of Bonnie Bridge Place: Someone stole a registration year sticker from a license plate between midnight Jan. 1 and 4:45 p.m. Monday. The sticker may have been cut off with a razor blade.

8500 block of Linwood Road: Someone broke a front exterior lamp between 5 p.m. Tuesday and noon Wednesday. It was the second incident in 30 days.

4700 block of Hallowed Stream: Someone smashed the passenger-side window to gain access into a 1993 Honda Civic between 10 p.m. Monday and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday. Nothing was taken.

1030 block of Route 40: An officer responding to a sounding alarm at Clark Do-It-Center about 5:30 a.m. Friday found the front glass door shattered. Nothing was taken.

* Elkridge: 6600 block of Route 1: Someone pried a storage shed lock between noon and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. It is unknown if property was stolen.
