Here's what to look for if you are traveling in the Baltimore metropolitan area this week.

This list of highway projects includes only newly announced work, not continuing construction, which is extensive on several highways, including Interstate 95, U.S. 50/301 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

New highway projects

Reisterstown Road from Northern Parkway to the city line -- Continuing through January 1994, expect roadway improvements including curbing, sidewalk, pavement repairs, a new blacktop surface and other work. Traffic flow will be maintained.

I-195 inbound and outbound from Route 170 to Baltimore-Washington International Airport Passenger Terminal -- Expect lane closures from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday through August. Also expect closures on the lower level roadway between the parking garage and the passenger terminal. Construction for drainage improvements on I-195 will occur during daylight hours. Access to all parking areas and the garage, as well as all other facilities will remain available.

North and southbound I-95 between Routes 32 and 175 -- Expect double lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. tomorrow through Friday for repairs to road surface.

Dulaney Valley Road at Fairmount Avenue -- Expect periodic closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow through Friday for milling, paving and geometric improvements at the intersection. Also expect closures between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. today through Thursday.

I-695 outer loop between York and Falls roads -- Expect single- and double-lane closures between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Wednesday for bridge deck paving.

Philadelphia Road (Route 7) at Mayflower Road -- Mayflower Road access to and from Philadelphia Road is being temporarily detoured for construction. Motorists should follow posted detour routes. Intersection closed to expedite paving and drainage associated with the realignment of Philadelphia Road.

North and southbound I-97 between Dorsey Road (Route 176) and Route 100 -- Expect lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. tomorrow through Friday. Closures required to expedite concrete barrier placement.

& MTA bus route changes:

The MTA has scheduled the following changes for this week. Information: 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497.

No. 15 (Overlea Service) -- Effective Wednesday and continuing until further notice construction work at the Overlea Loop will require the following rerouting:

Northbound, via the regular route to Belair Road to Northern Parkway, then west on Northern Parkway and south on Walther Boulevard.

Southbound, south on Walther Boulevard, east on Fleetwood Avenue, south on Belair Road, then via regular route.

Preakness diversions

These lines will be rerouted Saturday because of Preakness activities. No. 27 (Rogers Avenue/Reisterstown Plaza Service) -- From 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, Pimlico Road between Northern Parkway and Cross Country Boulevard will be one-way northbound. The No. 27 will be rerouted: Northbound, regular route west on Kelly Avenue to Cross Country Boulevard, west on Cross Country, west on Glen, south on Park Heights, west on Northern, south on Wabash Avenue, east on Eldorado Avenue, north to Rogers Avenue Metro Station. Trips operating to Reisterstown Plaza Station will continue via regular route. Additionally, following the running of the Preakness, Preakness Way will be closed to all through traffic for an unspecified time. Therefore, southbound No. 27 service from Rogers Avenue Station may be required.

No. 44 (Gwynn Oak Park Service) -- After the Preakness, Northern Parkway will be closed to all westbound traffic from Falls Road to Belvedere Avenue. For this reason, No. 44 service will be rerouted: Westbound via the regular route on Northern Parkway, then north on Falls Road, west on Kelly Avenue, west on Cross Country Boulevard, west on Glen Avenue, south on Park Heights Avenue, west on Northern Parkway, then regular route.

Eastbound, via regular route east on Northern Parkway to Preakness Way, then east on Northern Parkway to Belvedere Avenue, then via regular route.

No. 44 (Brighton Service) -- Also after the Preakness, westbound via regular route on Northern Parkway to Falls Road, north on Falls Road, west on Kelly Avenue, west on Cross Country Boulevard, then via regular route. Eastbound service, beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 8 p.m., regular route east on Cross Country Boulevard, east on Kelly Avenue, south on Falls Road, east on Northern Parkway, then via regular route.

No. 91 (Sinai Hospital/City Hall Service) -- As a result of heavy traffic flow in the area of the Preakness, unanticipated changes in the route in the area of the Pimlico Race Course may be necessary.
