3 convicted in plot to distribute drugs

A federal jury convicted three men yesterday of conspiracy to distribute a kilogram of heroin from a nightclub in West Baltimore.

The jury convicted Lamont Allen, 27, of the 12300 block of Bonmot Place in Reisterstown; Rodney Rogers, 31, of the 6600 block of Collinsdale Road in the Hillendale area of Baltimore County and James Rogers, of the 1500 block of W. Fayette St. in Baltimore.

Allen also was found guilty of money laundering, and Rodney Rogers was convicted of firearms violations.

U.S. District Judge Marvin J. Garbis set sentencing for July 30.
