Roszko leads Navy to 13-5 win over Stony Brook

STONY BROOK, NEW YORK — STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- Tommy Roszko had three goals and three assists as No. 9 Navy (8-3) defeated Stony Brook (3-10), 13-5, at Patriot Field yesterday.

Stony Brook, which trailed 5-1 at the end of the first quarter, closed to within two during the second and trailed 7-4 at the half.

Navy opened the third quarter with a 4-0 run, taking an 11-4 lead, to put the game out of reach.

Jamie Slough and Charles Bertrend added three goals and one assist each for Navy.

The Midshipmen will find out next Sunday where they'll be placed in the NCAA tournament when the selections are announced at 6 p.m.

Navy, which is tied for 8th with Loyola and Virginia in the USILA coaches' poll, could host a first round game.
