Charles Town to take Derby bets

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. -- Racing fans can watch and wager on the 119th running of the Kentucky Derby tomorrow, when the Charles Town Races presents the race as part of a full-card simulcast-live racing tripleheader.

Wagers on the Kentucky Derby will be commingled with those placed at Churchill Downs and numerous other simulcast outlets.

Gates for Charles Town's Churchill Downs Derby Day simulcast open at 10:30 a.m., and the first 1,000 fans paying full regular admission will receive a souvenir Kentucky Derby glass.

Post time for Churchill Downs' first race is 11:30 a.m. with the Derby, the eighth of 10 races, set for 5:32 p.m. Charles Town will offer a full-card simulcast from Hollywood Park, beginning at 4 p.m., with a live 11-race card scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
