ARSON: Northern District -- Someone set a fire in an abandoned house in the 400 block of Calvin Ave. in Waverly early today, causing an estimated $15,000 in damage to the structure. Capt. Stephen Fugate of the Fire Investigation Bureau said the blaze appeared to have been started among some trash on the first floor and spread to the second and third floors. Reported at 1:37 a.m., the single-alarm fire was declared under control at 2 a.m. No one was reported hurt.

SHOOTINGS: Northern District -- Police were seeking three gunmen who shot two men standing outside a phone booth in the 200 block of W. 28th St. Wednesday night. The victims, one from the 4100 block of Marx Ave., and the other from the 1700 block of St. Paul St., were treated at Union Memorial Hospital.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2500 block of Edgecombe Circle North Thursday with a key and stole a TV and stereo equipment .

THEFT: Northern District -- An 18-inch multispeed bike was stolen Thursday morning from a bike rack at Loyola College .

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1991 Buick with Maryland plates 530AFY was stolen Thursday from the 1000 block of Wendover Road.

SHOOTING: Central District -- A resident of the 800 block of Exeter Hall Ave. was in the 1200 block of Whitelock St. Thursday night when he heard gunshots and felt a pain in his left arm. The man was hospitalized .

BURGLARY: Central District -- Two TVs, stereo equipment and two telephones, all valued at more than $1,200, were stolen from a house in the 1700 block of Eutaw St. early Friday by someone who removed a metal grate from a window.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a home in the 1600 block of N. Calhoun St. Wednesday and stole property valued at nearly $1,000.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a woman Thursday who is said to have pointed a handgun at a man in a house in the 2400 block of Lauretta Ave.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man pushed aside an employee of the Woodstock bar and lounge in the 5200 block of Park Heights Ave. Thursday and took $10 from the cash register before fleeing.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1985 Buick with Virginia vanity plates WANETA was stolen from the 4500 block of Norfolk Ave. Thursday.

STOLEN CAR: Northwestern District -- A 1991 Honda with Maryland plates ZTF817 was stolen from the Pimlico Race Course Thursday.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- A TV, stereo speakers and receivers, and weight-lifting equipment, all valued at nearly $1,800, were stolen from a house in the 1800 block of Eagle St. Wednesday by someone who entered through the front door.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered a house in the 1600 block of W. Lombard St. Thursday through the front door and stole property valued at $200.

THEFT: Southern District -- Video equipment and a camera, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen from a cabinet inside a house in the 1600 block of Patapsco St. between April 15 and 28.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- A TV and computer equipment, all valued at nearly $400, were stolen from a house in the 3700 block of Pontiac Ave. Thursday by someone who entered through a rear door.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- A resident of the 3400 block of Spellman Road in Cherry Hill was awakened early Thursday by noise on the first floor and investigated. When the occupant entered a first-floor room, he saw a man running out the door. No property was reported missing.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY/ARRESTS: Essex District -- A northeast city man suspected of robbing three men of $900, their jewelry, and a beeper in the 1600 block of Gail Road early Friday was captured during a chase when a member of the police bike patrol jumped from his bike and tackled the man. Shortly after Officers Michael Eder and William Goodman were told of an armed robbery in progress at 12:25 a.m., they spotted a suspect running down an alley. After the man discarded a .44-caliber revolver, Officer Goodman stopped and recovered the weapon. Officer Eder continued the chase and caught the man after jumping from his bike as he neared the suspect. Officer Eder said the suspect, a resident of the 1700 block of E. 30th St., is on probation for assault in 1991 and was to be charged today with robbing the men outside an apartment at 1609 Gail Road in the Kingsley Park Apartments at gunpoint. The suspect also was to be charged with assaulting one of the men by pistol-whipping him after forcing all three back into an apartment after robbing them. The injured man was treated at the scene.

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A woman was walking in the 7000 block of Liberty Road Thursday morning when two men, one implying he had a handgun, robbed her of her purse containing cash and jewelry. The men escaped on foot.
