State legislators to address Glen Burnie group on May 11

The General Assembly delegations from Districts 31 and 32 have been invited to speak at the May 11 meeting of the Glen Burnie Improvement Association.

Glen Burnie is divided between the two districts. Delegates and senators will discuss legislation and issues that affect the Glen Burnie area.

There will be time at the end of the session for questions.

The meeting will begin at 8 p.m. at the association hall, on South Crain Highway near First Avenue.

Glen Burnie man charged in vandalism of 2 cars

County police have charged a Glen Burnie man with destruction of property, saying he used a wrench to smash the windows of two cars.

Police said Barry Alan Wimbish, 36, of the 4600 block of Nancy Road was charged with destruction of property after witnesses saw a man beating on two parked cars, a 1989 Geo and a 1985 Toyota, Sunday morning.

Mr. Wimbish allegedly smashed the rear and front passenger-side windows of the Geo.

Police said he allegedly beat dents into the roof and hood of the Toyota and smashed the windshield and passenger-side mirror.


* Hidden Woods Apartments: Golf clubs and a toolbox were reported stolen from a van parked in the 400 block of Hideaway Loop on Sunday morning. The rear window was removed sometime late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, and several items were removed. The items were valued at $1,600.
