William L. Ewell Sr.

Former car dealer

William L. Ewell Sr., a former Glen Burnie car dealer, died March 16 of heart failure at his home in Round Bay in Severna Park.

Mr. Ewell, 78, owned the former Ewell Motors, which later became Ewell Dodge and Ewell Chrysler Plymouth, for 20 years. He sold the business in the 1970s.

The Baltimore native was a graduate of Forest Park High School. He moved from Baltimore to Arnold in the 1950s, and had lived in Round Bay since 1965.

Mr. Ewell had been a member of the Maryland Automobile Trade Association, the Glen Burnie Rotary Club and the Round Bay Community Association.

A memorial service was conducted March 20 at St. Martin's in the Field Church in Severna Park, where Mr. Ewell was a member.

Mr. Ewell is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Sadie Lee Nichols; a daughter, Christine Ewell Moore of Richmond, Va.; a son, William L. Ewell Jr. of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Nellie Hall of Sarasota; a brother, Charles C. Ewell of Grasonville; and a grandson.

The family suggested memorial contributions could be made to St. Martin's in the Field Church, 375 Benfield Road, Severna Park 21146.

Richard G. Sullivan

Retired FBI agent

Richard Gerard Sullivan, a retired FBI agent and former chief investigator in the Baltimore County state's attorney's office, died of pancreatic cancer Saturday at the Stella Maris Hospice.

His survivors include his wife, the former Christine Voisinet; four sons, Richard G. Sullivan Jr. of Savage, Joseph P. Sullivan of Morgantown, W.Va., Gerald F. Sullivan of Baltimore and John C. Sullivan of Baltimore; three sisters, Marie Connell of Roslindale, Mass., Harriet Daley of Sandwich, Mass., and Ruth Guilderson of Duxbury, Mass.; a brother, Leo Sullivan of Canton, Mass.; and six grandchildren.
