Police investigate report of rape at Perry Hall High BALTIMORE COUNTY

April 28, 1993|By Staff Report

Baltimore County police are investigating the reported rape of a 10th-grade student at Perry Hall High School on school grounds yesterday morning.

The 16-year-old student told police she had left a study hall and gone outside to wait for her boyfriend, when she was assaulted by two young men, who forced her to an area behind the school, said county police spokesman Sgt. Steven R. Doarnberger.

One of the assailants held the girl down while the other one raped her, Sergeant Doarnberger said.

The girl told police that she had seen the two men "stalking" her for some time and that she knew one of their first names. She called her boyfriend to tell him about seeing the two, who apparently are not students at the high school.

Her boyfriend arrived shortly after the attack, and the two reported it to a teacher, who saw the girl crying.

Baltimore County schools spokeswoman Myra Treiber said the girl reported that she had seen the two men earlier in the day near the Central School of Technology in Towson, which she attends part time.

The girl was taken to Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Sergeant Doarnberger said.
