Incident in elevator leads to battery charge

A Gaithersburg man was charged with battery Friday after a woman complained to police that he grabbed her in the elevator at North Arundel Hospital.

According to the police report, the 32-year-old woman was getting into an elevator about 1 p.m. when two men held the door open for her. The woman accidentally bumped into one of the men and apologized. The man said he didn't mind "pretty girls bumping into" him, then allegedly grabbed the woman, put his arm around her and pushed his body up against hers.

After the men left, the woman complained to police.

Police charged David Lynn Baxter, 31, of the 12000 block of Darnestown Road after they found him at the private ambulance company where he works in Prince George's County.
