Tennis courts open Saturday

Glenelg Country School will celebrate the opening of its four tennis courts with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, followed by a round-robin tennis tournament and light refreshments.

The tournament will include matches between tennis team members and the school's trustees, students and faculty members, and students and parents.

John Ramos, the school's new tennis pro, will be on hand to discuss lessons and Tennis Club memberships, which will be available for evening and weekend play.

The courts will also be used as a part of the school's Summer Day Camp program.

Sunday is the rain date for this event, which is sponsored by the board of trustees and the Parents and Friends Association of Glenelg Country School.
