STABBING: Northern District -- A resident of the 1700 block of St. Paul St. was stabbed in the hand Wednesday morning during an argument with his girlfriend at her home in the 1000 block of Woodson Road. The man was treated at St. Joseph Hospital in Baltimore County and released. Charges against the woman were pending.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 600 block of Parkwyrth Ave. April 20 with a key and stole stereo equipment and a telephone, all valued at more than $2,500.

BURGLARY ATTEMPT: Northern District -- Someone tried to rob the Provident Bank of Maryland branch in the 3100 block of Guilford Ave. early Wednesday morning by placing fishing line with hooks down the night deposit vault. The person was scared off, leaving the fishing line dangling from the edge of the vault.

CHURCH BURGLARY: Northern District -- Several office doors were tampered with by someone who entered the Govans Presbyterian Church in the 3400 block of Old York Road April 20-21 through a front door. Nothing was missing.

THEFT: Northern District -- A 24-inch 10-speed bike valued at nearly $150 was stolen April 20 from the back yard of a house in the 1500 block of Union Ave.

ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 4400 block of Reisterstown Road was cut on the left shoulder Saturday night during an incident with another man in the 4700 block of Homer Ave. No arrest had been made.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A Washington, D.C., woman was walking in the 4900 block of Park Heights Ave. Sunday night when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $30.

THEFT: Northwestern District -- A sidewalk merchant was selling pillows in the 3400 block of Reisterstown Road Sunday night when a man stole two of them valued at $30.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3800 block of Hillsdale Road Sunday night and stole property valued at $400.

ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man who reportedly pointed a loaded handgun at a resident of the 900 block of Harlem Ave. during an argument at the victim's house Saturday night.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 2100 block of Madison Ave. was in the 1200 block of W. North Ave. Wednesday when a gunman robbed him of $42.

THEFT: Western District -- More than 50 cartons of cigarettes, valued at $1,000, were stolen Wednesday from a truck parked in the 600 block of N. Franklintown Road.

CAB HOLDUP: Southern District -- A driver for the Fleet Service Cab Co. in the 600 block of Pontiac Ave. was driving in the 2800 block of Round Road Saturday when a man he picked up earlier brandished a handgun and robbed him of an undisclosed sum of money.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- Two men, one from the 500 block of E. 38th St., and the other from the 4500 block of Marble Hall Road, were in the 200 block of W. Hamburg St. Saturday when a gunman robbed them of cash and property, all valued at nearly $400.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- A resident of the 3000 block of Huron St. returned home Saturday and saw a man running out the back door. It was not immediately known what, if any, property was taken.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 1000 block of Bristol Place was in the 1300 block of Spruce St. Saturday when a gunman robbed him of nearly $300.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone entered a house in the 100 block of S. Gilmor St. over the weekend through a rear door and stole a VCR, TV, camera and a telephone.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- A VCR, tools and an electric typewriter, all valued at nearly $900, were stolen from a storage shed in the 800 block of W. Lombard St. over the weekend by someone who cut a lock from a door.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Property valued at more than $500 was stolen from a house in the 1400 block of Key Highway between April 17 and the weekend.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 900 block of Stoll St. was walking in the 4100 block of Eighth St. in Brooklyn Wednesday morning when a man pushed her to the pavement and stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $100.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Nearly $300 worth of cigarettes were stolen from Young's grocery store in the 1300 block of Bayard St.

Wednesday morning.

ASSAULT: Southern District -- Police were seeking a man who attacked a resident of the 100 block of Reedbird Ave. in the 600 block of Cherry Hill Road Wednesday morning during an argument and struck him in the head with a shovel.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Carpeting valued at $600 was stolen from a house in the 3800 block of West Bay Ave. between April 14 and 20 by someone who entered through the front door.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 800 block of W. Pratt St. was walking in the 1000 block of W. Pratt St. Wednesday afternoon when a man robbed her of cash and property, all valued at more than $100.
