Student-athletes earn academic awards

South Carroll High School has 16 student-athletes who have earned the Central Maryland Conference Academic All Conference Award. The award is presented to any 12th-grade student-athlete who has participated in and completed two varsity sports seasons, one of which must have been during the senior year.

The student must maintain a cumulative 3.5 grade point average over four years of high school and be recommended by the school principal. Computations are made at the end of the first semester of the senior year.

South Carroll students who received this award are Jennifer Brooks, Matthew Crill, Matthew Dietzell, Patricia Duffy, Tricia Fleming, Ronald Garrett, Emily Kessler, Kristine Kolpach, Jenna Mitchell, Kerri Murphy, Michele Patton, Aaron Quidort, Kenneth Ridgley, Nicole Robitaille, Holly Stevens and Kelly Wachter.

The school is at 1300 W. Old Liberty Road, Sykesville.
