Owings woman, 42, killed in accident

A 42-year-old Owings woman died Friday evening after her car was hit by another car at the corner of Solomons Island Road and Bayfront Road in Tracys Landing.

The victim, Kathleen Thibodeau of the 2000 block of Boyds Trail, was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center after the 6:28 p.m. accident, then later to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. She was pronounced dead at 11:43 p.m. Friday, police said.

Police said Ms. Thibodeau was heading east on Bayfront Road when her car was struck by a car heading north on Solomons Island Road. Witnesses said the car that struck Ms. Thibodeau ran a red light.

The driver of the other car, Kelvin Moulden Sr., of the Patuxent Mobile Home Park, was treated and released at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

The county state's attorney is reviewing the accident.

Annapolis man arrested on drug charges

An Annapolis man was charged with possession with intent to distribute PCP after police stopped him on Route 214 in Beverly Beach on Thursday.

Police said narcotics detectives at the Southern District station received information that a man was selling PCP from his car in the Triton and Beverly Beach areas. They stopped a car matching the description given to them and noticed a strong odor of PCP coming from inside the car.

Officers searched the car and found 8.5 grams of parsley treated with PCP. They also found $111.

David Eric Oddis, 24, of the 100 block of Edelmar Drive was taken to Southern District to be charged.

Man, 32, charged in rape of 14-year-old

A 32-year-old Annapolis man has been charged with raping a 14-year-old girl in her Oyster Harbor home Wednesday.

At 1:33 p.m., according to the police report, the girl was in the upstairs portion of her home when she heard noises and went downstairs to investigate. She found a man in the house who raped her.

A short time later, police arrested Robert Walters of the 3300 block of Booker Road in the neighborhood. He was charged with second-degree rape and a fourth-degree sex offense.
