Here's what to look for if you are traveling in the Baltimore metropolitan area this week. This list of highway projects

includes only newly announced work.

New highway projects:

Reisterstown Road from Northern Parkway to the city line -- Beginning tomorrow and continuing through January 1994, expect roadway improvements, including curbing, sidewalk, pavement repairs, a new blacktop surface and other work. Traffic flow will be maintained.

Interstate 195 inbound and outbound from Route 170 to Baltimore-Washington International Airport passenger terminal -- Expect lane closures from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday through August. Also expect closures on the lower level roadway between the parking garage and the passenger terminal. Construction for drainage improvements on I-195 will occur during daylight hours. Access to parking areas, the garage and other facilities will be available.

Southbound I-95 ramp to Interstate 695 Inner Loop: -- Ramp will be made narrower for traffic from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. today for lighting maintenance.

I-695 Inner Loop ramp to Southbound I-95: -- Ramp will be made narrower for traffic between noon and 2 p.m. today for lighting maintenance.

I-695 Inner Loop ramp to Northbound I-95: -- Ramp will be made narrower for traffic between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.. for lighting maintenance.

Southbound I-95 between City Line and I-695 Interchange: -- Left lane will be closed today between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. for lighting maintenance. The right lane will be closed between 9 a.m. and noon. Left lane of northbound I-95 will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lighting maintenance.

Inner Loop I-695 between Security Boulevard and Liberty Road: -- Two right lanes will be closed from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. today to expedite deck maintenance on the Liberty Road Bridge.

Seminary Avenue (Route 31): -- Expect lane closures for construction and utility work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Chesapeake Bay Bridge (U.S. 50/301): -- Expect heavy traffic congestion and delays at and near the bridge May 2. The southernmost, normally eastbound, span of the bridge will be closed to motor traffic from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the annual Chesapeake Bay Bridge Walk. Two-way traffic will move on the northernmost, normally westbound, span.

MTA route changes:

The MTA has scheduled no changes for this week. Information: 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497.
