"Hope is Alive!" is the theme of a regional concert to be presented tonight in the auditorium of Francis Scott Key High School, on Bark Hill Road in Union Bridge.
Student choruses from Francis Scott Key, Elmer Wolfe Elementary, Uniontown Elementary and Taneytown Elementary schools will perform individually and together.
The concert begins at 7 p.m. and will last about an hour.
There is no charge for admission.
The elementary schools will open the program with patriotic songs, including "You're a Grand Old Flag" and "Sing a Song of Peace."
FSK will follow with songs about fulfilling your dreams: "Hope is Alive," "The Argument," "Bring Him Home," "Everybody Has a Dream," "Once Upon a Dream" and "This is the Moment."
This is the third year that FSK and the elementary schools have combined for this regional concert.
"It's not traditional yet, but it's becoming traditional," said Richard Shoemaker, the director of the FSK chorus.
In the finale, all the voices will combine in "With Liberty and Justice for All."
