Rabies vaccinations are offered for $5

Baltimore County pet owners will be able to have their pets vaccinated against rabies for $5 at any of 13 county clinics between May 4 and June 27.

County health officials warn that pets need the shots to ward off rabies, which is still a danger in central Maryland.

The clinics, which will be held rain or shine, are:

* May 4, 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Loch Raven Middle School, 8101 LaSalle Road.

* May 8, 10 a.m.-noon at Overlea High School, 5401 Kenwood Ave.

* May 11, 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Franklin High School, 12000 Reisterstown Road.

* May 16, 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at Lansdowne High School, 3800 Hollins Ferry Road, and at Middle River Middle School, 800 Middle River Road.

* May 23, 1 p.m.-3 p.m., at Johnnycake Middle School, 6200 Johnnycake Road, and at Perry Hall Middle School, 4300 Ebenezer Road.

* June 1, 6 p.m.-8 p.m., at Old Court Middle School, 4627 Old Court Road.

* June 6, 1 p.m.-3 p.m., at Grange Elementary School, 2000 Church Road.

* June 12, noon-2 p.m. at White Hall Feed Co., 17106 York Road.

* June 13, 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at Carney Elementary School, 3131 E. Joppa Road.

* June 15, 6 p.m.-8 p.m., at Westchester Annex, 2414 Westchester Ave., Ellicott City.

* June 27, 1 p.m.-3 p.m., at Deep Creek Elementary School, 1101 E. Homberg Ave.
