ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY CHALK POINT — Traffic light is promised at the site of fatal crash

CHALK POINT -- The state transportation secretary promised yesterday to install a traffic light by July 1 at the southern Anne Arundel County intersection where a 17-year-old youth died last week.

O. James Lighthizer, the secretary, called Brenda Davis, the boy's mother, to extend his sympathies and tell her about the light.

Ever since Eric Christopher Warch died in the accident at Muddy Creek and Owensville Roads, his mother has been calling state agencies for help. She finally called Mr. Lighthizer directly.
