5 teens sought in jackets theft

Howard County police are searching for five teen-agers who stole two Chicago Bull Starter jackets from two other youths as they walked home from a shopping center in Elkridge Friday night.

The 13-year-old and 14-year-old victims weren't injured when the thieves stole their jackets, which were together valued at $230, police said.

The jackets were stolen about 8:30 p.m. Friday while the boys walked home from the Elkridge Corners Shopping Center on Bauman Drive near Hunt Club Road, police said. As they walked, a car pulled up beside them.

All five occupants got out of the car and demanded their jackets, police said.

The group forcibly took a jacket from one victim and the other victim handed over his jacket, police said.

The thieves then fled in the car.
