April 20, 1993

Uniontown Elementary School, one of the smallest and oldest schools still in operation in Maryland, will close permanently at the end of the month. Parents are invited to join the Uniontown community from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., April 30 for the closing ceremonies at the school, 3455 Uniontown Road.

Because of the lack of parking spaces at the school, participants are asked to park at Francis Scott Key High School, 3825 Bark Hill Road, Union Bridge, and they will be transported by bus to the school and back.
