2 men face drug charges after separate arrests

A man arrested Sunday night in Brooklyn Park on drug charges led authorities to a home in Baltimore, where they made another arrest and seized 1.5 pounds of marijuana, police said.

Members of the Northern District's Tactical Narcotics Team said they bought a half pound of marijuana from a man at a Pizza Hut parking lot about 8:30 p.m.

Jesus Manuel Sanchez, 45, of the 3600 block of Kenyon Ave., in Baltimore, was charged Sunday with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, manufacturer of marijuana and possession of marijuana.

Police said that arrest led them to a home in the 2700 block of Beechland Avenue in Baltimore, where they joined forces with city police and agents from the Drug Enforcement Agency.

The DEA arrested Anthony Joseph Garitta, 42, at the home and charged him with possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy. Police said they found 1.5 pounds of marijuana and $1,255 in cash inside the home.

Brooklyn Park man, 18, accused of vandalism

County police have charged an 18-year-old man with vandalizing several cars parked along his own Brooklyn Park street.

Jimmie Cleveland Davis of the 5200 block of Patrick Henry Drive was charged Sunday with numerous counts of destruction of autos.

Police said yesterday that Mr. Davis and several other men who are still being sought allegedly dented and broke glass of numerous cars parked along Patrick Henry Drive.
