Pasadena teen-ager evades robbery attempt

A 13-year-old Pasadena youth was assaulted by three other teen-agers Saturday night who threw him up against a fence and tried to rob him, county police said.

The youngster told authorities that he and three friends were walking along East Shore Road about 8:45 p.m. when the attack occurred.

Police said one of the attackers threatened the 13-year-old with a handgun, but the victim was able to break away and escape unharmed.

Police arrest 2 men accused of selling drugs

Two men were arrested Thursday night in the Sillery Bay community of Pasadena and charged with possession of PCP and possession of PCP with intent to distribute.

Members of the Eastern District Tactical Narcotics Team said they received information that two people would be selling PCP-treated cigarettes in the area of Mountain and Woods roads.

Officers set up a surveillance and stopped a car matching the description on Sillery Bay Road. Police said they confiscated one liquid ounce of PCP from the inside of the car.

Charged were Darren Keith Heisterman, 24, of the 100 block of Ninth St., Pasadena, and Dana Lynn Schaefer, 22, of the 100 block of 11th St., Pasadena.

* Poplar Ridge: Someone stole a television, VCR and marine radio, valued at a total of $3,695, from the cabin of a 29-foot boat docked at the Pleasure Marina Center in the 1700 block of Popular Ridge Road. The owner reported the theft Wednesday.
