BALTIMORE CITY

* ARMED ROBBERY: Central District -- Two men dressed in dark clothing walked into a bookstore in the 700 block of N. Howard St. They displayed an unknown type of handgun and stole money from the cash register before fleeing minutes after midnight Friday.

* ROBBERY: Central District -- Two men walked up to a man in the 300 block of Park Ave., struck him and took an undisclosed amount of cash about 3 a.m. Saturday.

* STOLEN AUTO: Central District -- A red Honda with Maryland license plates PKD 669 was stolen from the 200 block of Waxter Way sometime between 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. yesterday.

* LARCENY FROM AUTO: Central District -- A radar detector, purse and watch were taken from a car parked in the 1600 block of St. Paul St. yesterday about 9:40 a.m.

* LARCENY FROM AUTO: Central District -- Jewelry and two suitcases valued at $2,300 were stolen from a car parked in the 100 block of S. Gay St.

* LARCENY FROM AUTO: Central District -- Thieves stole a radio and a pair of sunglasses from a car parked in the 100 block of Hopkins Place yesterday. The property was valued at $345.

* ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Eastern District -- An unknown man followed a 63-year-old woman to an apartment in the 2100 block of N. Calvert St. After she had entered, he knocked at the door. When she answered, he pushed her to the floor, took $120 and fled.

* ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- An unknown man pointed a handgun at a Pizza Boli's delivery man in the 5600 block of Frankford Ave. and fled with $75 at 1 a.m. Saturday.

* BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Between Friday night and Saturday morning, someone broke the front door glass of a residence in the 1300 block of Homestead St., entered and removed a TV, VCR and clothing. The loss was estimated at $1,192.

* ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A woman living in the 2800 Beechland Ave. told police her ex-boyfriend threw her on the floor, grabbed car keys from her hand and fled at 9:50 a.m. Saturday in her 1988 Chevrolet Beretta, with Maryland license tags RJB 813.

* ARMED ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Someone pointed a gun at a man walking in the 3800 block of Garrison Blvd. at 1:30 a.m. Saturday and fled with $150.

* ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A male suspect punched a man in the face as he walked in the 2500 block of Allendale Road at 3:40 a.m. Saturday and fled with $180.

* PURSE SNATCHING: Northwestern District -- An unknown man approached a woman in the 4000 block of Fords Lane and asked her name. Before she could reply, he snatched her purse containing $22 and fled.

* SHOOTING: Southeastern District -- A man reported to police that someone shot at him as he walked on the 2500 block of E. Fairmount Ave. at 2:20 a.m. yesterday.

* ROBBERY: Southeastern District --A man was robbed of $20 as he walked in the 2500 block of E. Fairmount Ave. at 3:30 a.m. yesterday.

* ABDUCTION: Southeastern District -- Believing a man had stolen a gun from his car, an unknown bail bondsman abducted him at gunpoint and held him captive about 3 1/2 hours late Wednesday. The victim, who was severely beaten, suffered multiple bruises and a broken cheek. He reported the incident to police on Saturday.

* ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- A group of men in a car pulled beside a taxi at 1:20 a.m. Saturday at the corner of President Street and Eastern Avenue. An argument ensued and a passenger in the car threw a bottle which struck the windshield of the taxi. A passenger in the cab suffered multiple cuts from flying glass.

* STOLEN AUTO: Southwestern District -- A 1985 Buick with Maryland license plates AJG 688 was stolen from the 2100 block of Allendale Road yesterday between 1:30 a.m. and 8:20 a.m.

* STOLEN AUTO: Southwestern District -- A 1986 Nissan with Maryland license plates XBM 038 was taken from the 900 block of Wicklow Road between 1 and 3 a.m. yesterday.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A gunman robbed the Waxie Maxie record store in the 4500 block of Falls Road. Police said the gunman walked into the store at 8:15 p.m. Saturday and ordered an employee to open the safe. He took $1,360.

* STOLEN AUTO: Northern District -- A 1980 Toyota with Maryland license plates VXV 612 was taken from the 2600 block of N. Calvert St. between 4:30 and 11 p.m. Saturday.

* LARCENY: Northern District -- A resident of the 3500 block of Falls Road reported to police that two men he left in his home stole $276.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Burglars stole $250 in frozen meat from a home in the 800 block of E. 41st St. Saturday night.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 800 block of Dartmouth Rd. reported to police that someone broke into his home Saturday night and took $150.

* LARCENY FROM AUTO: Southern District -- Thieves stole a bag of clothing from a car parked in the 200 block of Emory St. The value was unknown.

* LARCENY FROM AUTO: Southern District -- A radio, amplifier and speakers valued at $400 were stolen from a car parked in the 900 block of Bayard St.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* THEFT: Parkville District -- Someone stripped two wheels and two tires from a vehicle in the first block of Kinwall Place early Friday. The loss was valued at $200.
