* Union Bridge -- Don't forget to turn your clocks and watches ahead one hour this Saturday night. By continuing your regular ++ time schedule of arising, eating and going to work, you will not be inconvenienced by this change, but if you are accustomed to quit work at 5:30, you will notice the sun considerably higher in the west than before the change was made. -- Union Bridge Pilot, March 29, 1918.

* Cranberry Valley Items -- Flittings are quite common here this season and are frequently made the occasion of the exhibition of neighborly kindness, in the way of assistance with teams and otherwise, and of reciprocal courtesies in the way of sumptuous repasts. One of the most interesting occasions of this character, in this vicinity, during the present season, was the flitting of Mr. Jacob Morelock, which was heartily enjoyed by all engaged in it. -- American Sentinel, March 25, 1893.
