Legislators invited to parents meeting

The North County Parents Coalition has invited legislators to meet with the group at 8 p.m. Monday to discuss delays in renovating the former Andover High School building.

Representatives and parents from feeder schools in the North County cluster, which is made up of nine elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school, will meet in the media center at Brooklyn Park/Lindale Middle School.

Parents have raised concerns about delays in renovating the former Andover High building, which now houses North County High School and will be used as a middle school once the high school moves out in June and renovations can be completed.

The two middle schools are temporarily housed at Brooklyn Park/Lindale, the former Brooklyn Park High School.

The parents coalition has invited state senators and delegates from Districts 31 and 32 to the meeting.
