Gun inquiry leads to arrest of brothers

Police officers responding to a report of a found gun in Glen Burnie Friday night ended up arresting two brothers on drug charges and recovering 20 small bags of crack cocaine valued at $2,000.

A man had given the pistol, sealed in a plastic bag, to a woman, who took it home to show her mother. The mother called police about 6 p.m. Police found the man a short time later at the corner of Glenmar Road and Long Beach Court.

The suspect ran when police approached, but authorities said they caught him in the 400 block of Glenmar Road. While being handcuffed, police said, he allegedly took packets of cocaine from his pocket and put them in his mouth.

Police said a large crowd formed and many watchers shouted obscenities at the officers.

Just then, the suspect turned to another man in the crowd -- later identified as his brother -- and spit the drugs into his hand. The brother ran from the scene, but was quickly caught by police.

A K-9 dog later recovered the drugs, which the brother had allegedly thrown away.

Derrick Tobin Wilson, 24, and Jeffrey Kim Wilson, 28, of the 400 block of Glenmar Court in Glen Burnie face numerous drug-related charges, police said.

Two are arrested in robbery of woman

Two men have been arrested in connection with a robbery Thursday night of a 22-year-old Glen Burnie woman walking near Bruton Court and Faywood Drive.

Police said the men approached the victim about 10:15 p.m. and demanded money. One of the men stuck a hard object against her back, which the victim thought was a gun, police said.

After getting $300 in cash, the men ran toward Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. The woman called police, who located one of the men during a traffic stop a short time later. The second suspect was arrested later.

Bobby Dewayne Mack, 22, of the 1400 block of Jackson Road in Odenton was charged with robbery. Ernest Ennis Jr., 23, of the 7800 block of Southampton Drive in Glen Burnie was charged with robbery and trespassing.

Drug raid results in arrest of two men

Two men were arrested inside a Glen Burnie house Saturday morning after police raided the residence looking for drugs.

Armed with a warrant, members of the Northern District Tactical Narcotics Team entered the house in the 6500 block of Bricktown Circle about 1 a.m.

Police said they seized 8.5 grams of cocaine, two shotguns, a .38-caliber handgun and more than $2,700.

John Hunt, 25, who lives at the home, and Daniel Koors, 23, of an unknown address, were charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Dress shop robbed by gunman

A man who entered a Glen Burnie store and asked about buying a dress for his wife pulled out a handgun and robbed the shop of money.

Police said a man walked into the Dresstown Shop in the 6700 block of Chesapeake Square about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and asked the 30-year-old manager for a dress.

The man left, then returned about five minutes later and threatened the manager with a small black handgun, police said.

They said the man stuffed the money in his pockets and ran out of the store.
