HARFORD COUNTY — Crime Solvers offering cash rewards

Harford County Crime Solvers is offering up to $1,000 in reward for the arrest and indictment of the people responsible for the following crimes:

The break-in of the Kmart store in Beard's Hill Plaza in Aberdeen about 3:30 a.m., March 18. A large window was smashed with a concrete block. About 76 cartons of cigarettes, five rifles and two shotguns were stolen.

The stolen guns included four Remingtons, models 7600, 7400 and 8701, a .22-caliber Marlin model 605 and a 20-gauge New England Firearms shotgun.

In other incidents, more than $10,000 in radio equipment has been stolen from cars parked on three Bel Air car lots since Jan. 1.

Jones Plymouth, Jones Toyota and Bel Air Nissan, in the 1500 block of Belair Road, are adding $1,000 in reward incentives to the Crime Solvers offer.

Munchies stolen from storage shed

A Havre de Grace man reported to police that someone broke into his storage shed in the 700 block of Revolution St. on April 1 or 2 and stole four boxes of cheese crackers and four boxes of cashew nuts.

The investigation continues but police have no suspects.

The loss was placed at $44.50 and the damage was set at $10.

Tape, game missing from shopper's cart

A woman told Havre de Grace police Monday that someone stole "Newsies," a videocassette recorder rental movie, and "Motley Crue Pinball," a Sega-Genesis video game cartridge, from her cart while she was shopping at the Acme Supermarket in the 1000 block of Pulaski Highway.

* 2400 block of Churchville Road.: Burglary with forced entry from roof at Michaels Food Rite on March 28. Theft of cigarettes and damage to merchandise. Loss valued at $578.04.

* 1300 block of Churchville Road.: Malicious destruction to window by BB shots at business on March 27.

& Loss valued at $1,000.


* 2300 block of Choate Road.: Theft of 16-foot cattle gate from property on March 26.

Forest Hill

* 500 block E. Jarrettsville Road.: Theft of a lizard from a business on March 29.

* 1000 block of Joppa Farm Road.: Theft of merchandise from Kmart on March 28. Loss valued at $520.95.
