ROBBERY: Central District -- A gunman wearing a green and purple sweat suit and a purple baseball cap robbed the Ramada Inn in the first block of N. Howard St. Wednesday night and escaped with an undisclosed sum.

SHERIFF ASSAULTED: Western District -- Deputy Sheriff John Muran was attempting to arrest a man on a warrant in the 2200 block of Windsor Ave. Thursday morning when the man tried to run him down with a car, police said. Arrested and charged with assault with a motor vehicle and being held at the station in lieu of $10,000 bond was Ronald Armstrong, 35, of the 1600 block of N. Monroe St.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 2400 block of W. Lafayette Ave. between Tuesday night and Thursday morning through a rear door and stole two revolvers, coins and a watch, all valued at nearly $500.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A TV was stolen from a house in the 1600 block of Laurens St. Thursday by someone who broke into the house.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 2100 block of W. Lexington St. was in the 2100 block of Penrose Ave. Thursday night when two men, one with a gun, robbed him of nearly $100.

ROBBERIES: Western District -- Two gunmen robbed three men of their cash, jewelry and other items in the 300 block of N. Smallwood St. Wednesday night. A leather jacket, two gold rings, a bracelet, gold watch and a medallion, all valued at more than $2,000, were taken from a resident of the 1200 block of Walters Ave. From a resident of the 5600 block of The Alameda, the men took a jacket, beeper and cash, all valued at nearly $300. The third victim, a resident of the 2100 block of Penrose Ave., was robbed of a school ring, leather jacket, wallet and keys, all valued at nearly $700.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered a house in the 2100 block of Presbury St. Wednesday and stole a TV and two $100 money orders. It was learned the thief attempted to sell the money orders for $30 each. No arrest had been made.

THEFT: Western District -- Police arrested a 52-year-old N. Fremont Avenue man Wednesday and charged him with stealing a quantity of extra-strength Tylenol from the Rite Aid pharmacy at the Mondawmin Mall. When the man told police he was suffering from terminal cancer and needed the medication for pain, he was taken to Bon Secours Hospital, where his disease was confirmed. The man was admitted to the hospital and the charges dropped.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Someone entered Hercules auto parts in the 3300 block of Frederick Ave. Wednesday night and stole tools valued at more than $300. Later, police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending charges.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Nearly $500 worth of beer was

stolen from a storage shed behind the Cameo Bar in the 2600 block of Washington Boulevard between Monday and Thursday.

RAPE: Southwestern District -- Police were seeking a gold-toothed man who raped a woman inside a house in the 3500 block of Windsor Mill Road Thursday morning. The woman was taken to Mercy Medical Center for treatment and released.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Someone entered a house in the 100 block of S. Wikham Road Thursday through a rear window and stole property valued at $225.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District Property valued at more than was stolen from a CSX railroad box car in the 1900 block of Gable Ave. Wednesday night.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A VCR and a radio, all valued at nearly $400, were stolen from a house in the first block of S. Augusta Ave. Thursday morning by someone who entered through a heat vent.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 5500 block of Force Road was riding a bike in the 5800 block of Merville Ave. Thursday when he was struck by a man who knocked him to the ground and stole the bike, valued at $150.

ROBBERY TRY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2500 block of Edgecombe Circle North was walking near her home Thursday morning when another woman struck her with a brick and tried to steal her purse. During a struggle, the woman who was hit with the brick struck the other woman several times, causing her to flee.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A Domino's pizza deliveryman was in the 2700 block of Maryland Ave. Wednesday when he was assaulted by a man who robbed him of food items and cash, all valued at $35.

STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1986 Toyota with Maryland tags YJR544 was stolen from the 2700 block of Virginia Ave. Thursday.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A VCR and several pieces of clothing, all valued at $700, were stolen from a house in the 4400 block of Pall Mall Road Thursday by someone who entered through a rear door.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 4400 block of Finney Ave. Wednesday through a window and stole a VCR and a handgun, all valued at more than $600.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A gunman robbed a resident of the 200 block of W. Monument St. of $120 in the 2500 block of N. Charles St. Wednesday night.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- Two men entered Shoney's Restaurant in the 1600 block of Whitehead Road shortly after 1 a.m. Friday by breaking a plate glass window and forced an employee to give them the contents of a cash register. The men escaped with an undisclosed sum.
