Driver hits woman putting child in car

A 27-year-old Reisterstown woman, whose legs were pinned between two cars in the 2400 block of Appaloosa Way in Finksburg about noon Wednesday, has been released from Carroll County General Hospital after treatment.

State police said Kathy Lee Wehar was putting her child into the safety seat in the back of her 1982 Honda Civic when the accident occurred.

Police said the driver of a car backing up an incline from a driveway was unable to see the woman in the mirror and struck her.

No charges were placed against Joanne M. Eastwood, also of Reisterstown, who was driving a 1992 Acura.

8, The child was not injured, police said.
