Gymnastics center to open registration

The Carroll Gymnastics Center will have registration for the second spring session from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday in the

gym of the old Hampstead Elementary School, 1211 N. Main St., Hampstead.

The session runs April 19 through May 29, with classes available for children 3 through teens at all skill levels. The registration fee for the six-week session is $22.

Those interested in participating in summer camp can register at the same time. Camp will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., July 19 to 23.

The camp fee is $70 for the week, with a $25 deposit required at the time of registration. New students will be required to pay an additional $9 insurance fee. Children 6 through teens are eligible attend.

The Carroll Gymnastics Center is sponsored by the Westminster Area Recreation Council.

FIRE

* Hampstead: Hampstead assisted Baltimore County at a truck fire on Hanover Pike at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday. Units were out six minutes.

At 5:42 p.m. Wednesday, engines from Hampstead helped Baltimore County at the first riding mower fire of the season, on Resh Mill Road. Units were out for 37 minutes.

* Lineboro: Units from Lineboro needed only 19 minutes to put out a brush fire on Dusty Lane after being called out at 4:12 p.m. yesterday.
