Three named as directors

Greater Laurel Beltsville Hospital Foundation has appointed Dr. Martin D. Weltz, Rabbi Gary S. Fink and Frances Meloy to its board of directors.

Dr. Weltz is vice president of the hospital's medical staff and chairman of its quality care committee. A Columbia resident, Dr. Weltz is also a partner in the practice of Hematology-Oncology Associates in Greenbelt.

Rabbi Fink has served Oseh Shalom Synagogue in Laurel since 1980 when he became its first permanent rabbi. In addition, the Silver Spring resident is a volunteer chaplain for the Prince George's County Police Department.

A resident of Davidsonville in Anne Arundel County, Mrs. Meloy is a member of the Law Wives of the Prince George's County Bar Association. Her husband, Samuel, is a retired county Circuit Court judge.

POLICE

Laurel:9000 block of Hitching Post Lane: Someone destroyed the passenger window of a 1992 Oldsmobile Royal between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 11:15 a.m. Saturday. Nothing was taken.

9100 block of Tumbleweed Run: Someone stole a 1992, four-door Honda Accord between 7:30 p.m. Monday and 2 p.m. Tuesday.

10000 N. Second Street: Someone stole a 1980 Ford truck between 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.

*Savage: 10000 Riggs Hill Road: Someone scratched the left side of a 1990 Ford Mustang with a key between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday.
