Gilchrest representative to visit Brooklyn Park

U.S. Rep. Wayne T. Gilchrest will send a representative to meet with Brooklyn Park community association leaders tomorrow night.

Kathy Hicks, the congressman's Anne Arundel County district representative, will hear concerns of the Greater Brooklyn Park Community Council at 8 p.m., during the council's quarterly meeting at the Northern District police station on Hammonds Lane in Brooklyn Park.

Council President Robert Moore said he invited Mr. Gilchrest's representative after the 1st District Republican held a series of town meetings but bypassed Brooklyn Park, meeting instead in the Brooklyn section of Baltimore.

"This is an opportunity for his office to introduce itself to the community," Mr. Moore said.

Leaders of about a dozen community associations throughout Brooklyn Park can then report back to their own groups, he said.
