The Easter Bunny made his grand appearance on Saturday to hide eggs and greet the Crofton kids who came to see him and his very special friend, Barney the Dinosaur, at the Crofton Elementary School. Recreation assistant Sue Bents worked hard to make this a happy Easter egg hunt for the kids and their parents.

A support group for parents of Children with attention deficit disorder will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Crofton Elementary School. Dr. Peter Dozier will discuss "Difficulties in Setting Limits and Staying in Control." For more information, call 721-2468 or 721-5376.

Goodwill's Crofton Donation Center on Route 3 has reopened. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. the second Saturday of every month. For more information, call 247-3500.

Bowie Elks Lodge 2309 will host an Easter party on Saturday for members' children. Call the lodge, 464-0637, to register and find out when it starts.

Did you know that this week has been designated Kindergarten Registration Week in Anne Arundel County? Registration is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Children who will turn 5 by Jan. 1 are required to attend kindergarten. Birth certificates and immunization records are required at registration.

The Anne Arundel County Public Library is asking children to "Link up for Library Week" by decorating library branches with colorful paper reading chains. Each time they read a book before April 24, children should write down the book's title and author along with their names and telephone numbers on colorful strips of paper. Drop off the slips at the Crofton library. Each participant will receive a bookmark from McDonald's and could win a fun-filled activity book and free pizza from Pizza Hut. The Crownsville Hospital Center Auxiliary is sponsoring a sale of plants grown at the hospital. It will be held Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the greenhouse on the hospital grounds off Generals Highway. Proceeds will benefit patient programs.
