Kuujjuaq wins Elkridge-Harford Point-to-Point

H. Turney McKnight's Kuujjuaq caught pace-setter Daily Desire at the last fence yesterday at the Elkridge-Harford Point-to-Point at Atlanta Hall Farm in Monkton and won the Edward S. Voss Memorial timber race.

When Daily Desire took out a rail at the last obstacle, Johnny Bosley on Kuujjuaq surged to the front and won by 3 1/2 lengths. Pleasant Sea, the two-time Pennsylvania Hunt Cup winner, finished third.

Former Maryland Hunt Cup winner Uncle Merlin fell two fences from the finish.

Bruce Fenwick, riding Sabas, and Sanna Neilson on Ivory Poacher, won the two supporting timber races.

Arabella Knox, Elizabeth Voss and Mark Lloyd won the three junior races on the flat.
