Here's what to look for if you are traveling in the Baltimore metropolitan area this week. This list of highway projects includes only newly announced work, not continuing construction, which is extensive on several highways, including Interstate 95, U.S. 50/301 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

New highway projects

Seminary Avenue -- Beginning tomorrow, Seminary Avenue will be closed between Francke Avenue and Bellona Avenue from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday for utility and construction work. Detour routes will be posted.

Fort Smallwood Road -- Expect lane closures on northbound Fort Smallwood Road near the Baltimore City line. Two lanes will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Traffic may be reduced to a single lane at other times.

Northbound I-95 between I-195 and I-695 -- Expect a single-lane closure today between 5 a.m. and 1 p.m. for deck repairs to the Southwestern Boulevard bridge. Also, two left lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. tomorrow.

MTA bus route changes:

The MTA has scheduled the following bus route changes for this week. Information: 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497.

Changes in service

No. 9 (Hunt Valley Mall, Lutherville light-rail stop, York Road and Northern Parkway service) -- Effective today and continuing each week Monday through Friday, the route of this line will change. Northbound buses will travel the regular route to York Road and Cranbrook Road, north and east on Cranbrook Road, north on Ridgeland Road, west on Warren Road, north on York Road, then via the regular route. Southbound buses will travel the reverse route.

No. 64 (Linthicum service via Belle Grove Road) -- Effective tomorrow and continuing each week Monday through Friday, the route will be changed to originate and terminate at the North Linthicum light-rail stop at Camp Meade Road between the Beltway and Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard. Southbound buses will travel the regular route via Belle Grove Road to Annapolis Road, south on Annapolis Road, west on Maple Road, north on Camp Meade Road, then west to the North Linthicum light-rail stop. Northbound buses will travel the reverse route.

64 (Linthicum service via Hammonds Lane) -- Southbound buses will travel the regular route northbound on Camp Meade Road to the far side of Valley Road, north on Camp Meade Road, then west to the North Linthicum light-rail stop. Northbound buses will travel the reverse route.

The changes to these lines are permanent.
