BALTIMORE CITY

* ROBBERY TRY: Northwestern District -- A gunman attempted to rob Goldman's bakery in the 6800 block of Reisterstown Road Wednesday afternoon but fled without taking any money when an employee refused to open the cash register and pressed the holdup alarm.

* ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 100 block of Maybin Circle was in the 5000 block of Park Heights Ave. Wednesday when he was robbed of $40 by a man armed with a knife.

* BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered a house in the 2600 block of Maryland Ave. through a window Wednesday and stole property valued at $800.

* STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A car with no tags was stolen Wednesday from the 1300 block of W. Northern Parkway.

* SCHOOL BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered the Mount Washington Elementary School in the 1800 block of Sulgrave Ave. Wednesday morning and stole an undisclosed sum of money from an office safe.

* STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1986 Ford with Maryland tags RWA341 was stolen from the 500 block of W. 29th St. Wednesday.

* THEFT: Northwestern District -- All four wheel covers were stolen from a car parked in the 3000 block of Lawina Road Wednesday.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Loch Raven Road was in the 500 block of E. Cold Spring Lane Wednesday afternoon when a gunman robbed her of gold jewelry valued at $600.

* STOLEN CAR: Northern District -- A 1989 Hyundai with Maryland tags YMT260 was stolen from the 100 block of Warwickshire Road Wednesday.

* ROBBERY:ROBBERY: Northern District -- Three men attacked a resident of the 800 block of Belgian Ave. near his home Wednesday and robbed him of a bag of groceries.

* THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered the bedroom of a house in the 500 block of N. Calhoun St. Monday and stole U.S. savings bonds valued at $500 and a .38-caliber revolver valued at nearly $300.

* ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 4100 block of Woodridge Ave. was walking home from work Sunday and was in the 400 block of Gittings Ave. when a gunman robbed him of $20.

* BURGLARY/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a man who entered a house in the 3300 block of Paine St. Sunday night through the front door and stole more than $1,000 and more than $2,000 in jewelry. The property was believed recovered.

* BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone entered a house in the 3600 block of Hamilton Ave. Monday and stole jewelry valued at more than $200. A relative of the occupant is being sought.

* PURSE SNATCHING: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5000 block of Crenshaw Ave. was walking near her home Monday morning when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $500.

BALTIMORE COUNTY

* ROBBERY: Garrison District -- A man wearing nondescript clothing and carrying a pair of hiking boots over one shoulder entered the Custom Savings & Loan Bank in the 1000 block of Reisterstown Road and ordered a teller to give him money. The man escaped with an undisclosed amount.

* STOLEN CAR: Cockeysville District -- A 1987 Pontiac Trans Am with Maryland tags XZE667 and valued at $7,000 was stolen from the first block of Kings Crossing Court Wednesday morning.

* THEFT: Cockeysville District -- Someone entered a 1989 Pontiac Firebird that was parked in the 2100 block of Sweetbriar Lane Wednesday and stole a cellular phone, tapes, sunglasses and a gym bag, all valued at nearly $800.

* BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- A 1986 Yamaha 600cc motorcycle with Maryland tags 426110 and valued at nearly $2,000 was stolen Wednesday from a garage in the 800 block of W. Padonia Road.

* BURGLARY: Towson District -- Someone entered George Radebaught & Sons Florist in the 100 block of Linden Terrace Wednesday after breaking a window and stole a safe. The unopened safe was found outside the company.

* STOLEN CAR: Towson District -- A 1987 Dodge Colt valued at $4,000 was stolen from the 1600 block of Jeffers Road Wednesday.

* ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A gunman wearing a yellow stocking cap robbed the Woodmoor Shell station in the 7100 block of Liberty Road Wednesday morning of an undisclosed sum of money before running toward Essex Road. There, he got into a car and sped away.

* BURGLARY: White Marsh District -- Someone entered a home in the 7300 block of Mount Vista Road Sunday through a basement door and stole a rifle and a shotgun, all valued at more than $500.

* THEFT: White Marsh District -- An employee of Venture Plastics in the 1200 block of 65th St. was working Monday night when someone stole her wallet containing more than $100. Later, police found the empty wallet in a trash bin nearby.

* BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- Someone entered Little Caesar's pizza shop in the 3300 block of Paper Mill Road early Monday morning through the front door and stole an undisclosed sum from a safe. The burglary was discovered by firefighters responding to a fire alarm at the shop.
