5 remodeled stores set to reopen at mall

Progress on Annapolis Mall's renovation continues to make headway, with the planned opening of five stores in the next 30 days.

Shops that have remodeled, relocated or expanded and will reopen this month are: Sam Goody/Suncoast Motion Picture Co., Lane Bryant, Lerner New York, American Express Co. and Bailey Banks & Biddle.

Electronics Boutique and Britches Great Outdoors are to open in April. Crabtree & Evelyn and Auntie Anne's Pretzels are scheduled to open in May.

Also as part of the mall's renovation, Gordon's Jewelers has moved and reopened.

Vantage Real Estate merges with O'Conor

Vantage Real Estate, a county residential real estate company, has merged with O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors.

Vantage operated in northern and western Anne Arundel County for more than 15 years from offices in Glen Burnie and Severn.

The merger follows O'Conor, Piper & Flynn's merger with Annapolis Circle Realty.

Annapolis firm is agent for D.C. crafts expo

The Public Relations Partnership, an Annapolis-based public relations firm, has been chosen as publicity agent for the Washington Crafts Expo.

The event, which is expected to draw artists and crafts people from across the nation, will feature museum-quality pieces in all media.

The sixth annual expo is planned for Nov. 19-21 at the Sheraton Washington Hotel in Washington.

Severna Park firms win SBA awards

The Greater Severna Park Chamber of Commerce sponsored several small businesses that were recognized during the U.S. Small Business Administration's annual awards program.

Arthur D. Ebersberger of Ebersberger & Associates of Severna Park won in the Small Business of the Year category; Margueritte T. Mills, editor and owner of the Severna Park Voice newspaper, was declared first runner-up in the Media Advocate category; Garry Anderson of Garry's Grill in Severna Park was nominated by the chamber as Small-Business Person of the Year.

Annapolis bank reports dividend

Farmers National Bancorp, based in Annapolis, has reported a dividend of 25 cents per share payable April 13 to shareholders of record on March 31, 1993.

Farmers is a multi-bank holding company that operates 13 offices in Anne Arundel County and other locations in Maryland.
