Senna wins Brazilian Formula One GP

March 29, 1993

SAO PAULO, Brazil -- Ayrton Senna won, thanks to the weather and some luck.

Senna, driving a McLaren-Ford, took the lead for good on the 42nd lap when a sudden rainstorm forced Alain Prost to skid into a stalled car and slide off the track.

Damon Hill of Britain, who staged an exciting duel with Senna after Prost dropped out, was second in a Williams-Renault. Michael Schumacher of Germany was third in a Benetton-Ford.
