Woman charged with cocaine possession

County police charged a 55-year-old Baltimore woman with possession of cocaine Wednesday night after they stopped the taxi in which she was riding on Belle Grove Road.

According to the police report, officers were tipped that the woman had bought drugs in Baltimore and gotten into a No. 3 Redtop cab headed toward Anne Arundel.

Police stopped the cab at 8:45 p.m. and found 1.2 grams of cocaine wrapped in a tissue and clutched in the woman's hand.

Anne Mae Trent, of the 4300 block of Cortez Road, was taken to Northern District to be charged.
