Man arrested in robbery of Annapolis Road High's

A 27-year-old man was arrested Saturday night in the robbery of a High's store on Annapolis Road near Fort Meade.

County police charged Michael Bruce Sorader of the 200 block of Woodhill Drive in Glen Burnie with armed robbery.

The store clerk told police a man reached into his jacket as if he had a gun, demanded all the money in the register, then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk set off the store's silent alarm at 9:20 p.m.

Shortly afterward, police stopped a suspect matching the description given by the clerk and recovered evidence from him.

Man holds up Odenton bar

A man claiming he had a gun held up an Odenton bar early Saturday morning, getting away with an undetermined amount of money.

County police said a man entered The Place Bar and Lounge in the 8300 block of Telegraph Road about 12:30 a.m. and told the bartender, "Give me all the cash in the register or I'll shoot you."

Crofton man 1 of 2 facing drug charges

A Crofton man was one of two people charged with possession of marijuana after police stopped their car on U.S. 50 near Route 424 Thursday night.

According to the police report, officers stopped a 1988 Nissan Pathfinder with New York license plates at 11:55 p.m. for minor traffic violations. The driver agreed to let police search the car and officers found a small amount of marijuana.

Seth A. Klein, 21, of Smithtown, N.Y., and Brian Michael Richmond, 24, of the 1500 block of Eaton Way in Crofton were taken to Southern District to be charged.
