CPA Houck receives titles at Westminster firm

Thomas E. Houck Jr., a certified public accountant from Monrovia, Frederick County, has been chosen a principal shareholder and director at the firm of Sturgill, Rager and Lehman in Westminster.

A member of the American Institute of CPAs, Mr. Houck graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree from Mount St. Mary's College and later earned his master's degree there in business administration.

Insurance agents graduate from school

Three Baltimore Life Insurance Co. agents from the firm's Westminster office recently graduated from the Sales Success School at the home office in Owings Mills.

Ruth Reagan, Doris Hoke and Matthew Craver attended the four-day school. They received hands-on training in ways to approach and sign new clients and how best to fill their needs.

Attention was given to financial-need analysis, a computerized program that helps agents analyze their clients' needs and design a program to meet those needs.

Realtor adds agents to three offices

O'Conor, Piper & Flynn Realtors recently announced the following additions to three offices in Carroll County:

* Eldersburg: Jane Brown.

* Hampstead: Nancy Oates, Charles Love and William Mapstone.

* Westminster: Barbara Bellgrau joined the office.

Judith Ann Legal, Gladys Warthen and Naganna Shankar recently completed the "Fast Start" program.

Billing service appoints marketing VP

National Professional Billing Services Inc. of Eldersburg has appointed Nina Dustin as vice president of marketing.

A Carroll resident for more than 16 years, Ms. Dustin has been with the comprehensive medical billing agency for nearly 10 years.

In her new position, she will be responsible for client relations and new client development, in addition to being business manager.

Cub Cadet salesman wins Caribbean trip

Dinnis Raymond, vice president of Liberty Discount Lawn Equipment in Upperco, was recently recognized for his sales efforts during the past year with an invitation to join other Cub Cadet dealers on a Caribbean cruise.

The company annually rewards its outstanding dealers with incentive programs to encourage them to sell throughout the years.

Before the eight-day trip, Cub Cadet had a precruise gala and awards banquet for 100 guests at the Fort Lauderdale Hilton, Florida.
