North Carroll General names jobs manager

Karen Lynn Brien has been named employment manager at North Arundel Hospital.

Previously an assistant personnel manager at Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore, Ms. Brien will be responsible for overseeing employment and recruitment at North Arundel.

She will also help with labor relations and compensation issues.

LaCrista chief honored in enterprise contest

Linda Collison, president of LaCrista Inc., a manufacturer of natural skin products, has received top honors for the state in the Blue Chip Enterprise Initiative, an annual national contest that recognizes enterprise and initiative.

Ms. Collison founded her firm in Davidsonville after developing a skin-sensitivity condition and discovering nothing on the market met her skin care needs.

Heneson firm names public relations aide

Bonnie Heneson Communications Inc. has named Glen Burnie resident Kyri L. Jacobs public relations assistant.

Ms. Jacobs will help with writing, media relations, planning events and servicing accounts for the firm's public relations and advertising clients.

Shannon & Luchs names buyer agent

Jerry Brice, a sales associate with the Annapolis office of Shannon & Luchs Realtors, has been named a Certified Buyer Agent.

Mr. Brice received the designation after completing Shannon & Luchs' Buyer Agent Certification course.

Orthodontist opens practice in Odenton

Dr. Robert G. Winnard has opened an orthodontic practice in Odenton.

Formerly in practice with Dr. Robert Martin in Severna Park and Pasadena, Dr. Winnard's new practice is limited to orthodontics for children and adults.

A member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists, Dr. Winnard has obtained Board Eligible status with the American Board of Orthodontics.

He lives in Millersville with his wife, Linda, and daughter Margaux.

Ginger Cove names Walther administrator

Ginger Cove, a life-care retirement community in Annapolis, has named Cathleen Walther as administrator.

Ms. Walther will oversee the day-to-day services offered to more than 300 Ginger Cove residents.

Licensed in the state of Maryland as a nursing home administrator, Ms. Walther was previously director of Marquette Manor in Indianapolis, Ind.

Arnold resident joins Security Trust Co.

Thomas L. Beetle, a resident of Arnold, has joined Security Trust Company, an affiliate of MNC Financial Inc., as Vice-President and Department Head of Employee Benefit Trust Sales and Marketing.

In this capacity he is responsible for selling employee-benefits services, including defined contribution and defined benefits plans, to public, private and nonprofit corporations.

Prior to joining Security Trust, Mr. Beetle worked for Cigna for more than 10 years in the Employee Benefits area, most recently as an Executive Account Manager, and worked for Hartford Marketing retirement Plan Services.

A graduate of Holy Cross College in Worcester, Mass., Mr. Beetle is working on Employee Benefits Specialist certification. He participates in his community association and the Broadneck Little League.

Green is named a sales manager

UNC Engine Overhaul Group, a division of UNC Incorporated, the Annapolis-based aviation company, announced recently that Scott Green has been named Southwestern Regional Sales Manager for its Airwork and Pacific Airmotive operations.

In this position, Green will be responsible for engine overhaul sales to corporate turbine operators based in California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.

He previously was Northwest Regional Sales Manager for UNC Airwork and as Manager, Twin Pac Sales, for Pacific Airmotive.
