Capitals games rescheduled

It took the good will of six Patrick Division teams to reschedule Washington Capitals games with the New York Rangers and the New York Islanders that were postponed because of the weekend snowstorm.

Washington will move its game with the Penguins in Pittsburgh from March 25 to tomorrow night and then play a makeup game with the Islanders in Uniondale, N.Y., on March 25.

The Rangers game will be made up at the Capital Centre on April 16. The Stanley Cup playoffs will begin, as scheduled on April 18.

Fans with tickets for last Saturday's game against the Rangers are being given several options by the Capitals. They may use them April 16 or exchange them at the Capital Centre box office or by mail for one of the following games -- Friday vs. the Hartford Whalers, Tuesday vs. the Quebec Nordiques, March 27 vs. New Jersey, March 30 vs. the Buffalo Sabres, April 6 vs. the Islanders or April 10 vs. New Jersey Devils.

Home Team Sports will carry the Capitals' game in Pittsburgh tomorrow, and will also broadcast the April 16 game against the Rangers, provided it has playoff implications for either team. Channel 20 will broadcast the Capitals' game against the Islanders on March 25.
