ARMED ROBBERY: Western District -- A man armed with what appeared to be a .38-caliber handgun accosted another man walking in the 2200 block of Windsor Ave. about 6 p.m. Monday and ordered him to turn over his valuables. The victim gave him his suit jacket, shoes and socks worth a total of $189.98, and the gunman fled with them.

RAPE: Eastern District -- A 20-year-old woman reported that three men forced her into a house in the 1800 block of Aiken St. at 8 a.m. Friday and repeatedly raped her. The suspects were still being sought.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Western District -- William B. Jones, 20, of no fixed address, was arrested Sunday and charged with (( breaking into the J & Y Food Market in the 700 block of Baker St. after someone forced open the door of the building at 11:12 p.m. and set off an alarm that brought police. Nothing was taken from the store.

ARMED ROBBERY: Western District -- A man armed with what appeared to be a 9 mm handgun robbed $60 in cash and $500 in jewelry from a man walking in the 600 block of N. Brice St. about 7 p.m. Sunday.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- James Earl Bellamy, 33, of the 800 block of N. Chapel St., was arrested in connection with a burglary at 2:15 a.m. Monday at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where someone broke in and stole a telephone.

ARMED ROBBERY: Western District -- A man reported that two men, one armed with a semiautomatic pistol, walked up to him in the 600 block of Wheeler Ave. about 8:25 p.m. Sunday and threatened to shoot him if he didn't turn over his shoes, worth $132. The victim complied.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Northwestern District -- Someone stole cash and money orders with a total value of $300 from a glove box of a car parked in the 4800 block of Seton Drive. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday.

ARMED ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man walked into the McDonald's restaurant in the 4400 block of Reisterstown Road shortly before 8:55 p.m. Monday and pointed a gun at one of the employees behind the counter. The gunman was given an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Northwestern District -- A Bell Atlantic car phone valued at $672 was stolen Friday or Saturday from a car parked in the 2900 block of Fendall Road.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone forced open the door to a home in the 1900 block of W. Baltimore St. about 9 p.m. Sunday, but was scared off by an occupant of the house.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Police were seeking three men who attacked a resident of the 2100 block of Presbury St. in the 2000 block of W. North Ave. Saturday night and struck him with a bottle, their fists and sticks.

ROBBERY TRY: Southern District -- A resident of the 2000 block of Wilkens Ave. was in the 500 block of S. Payson St. Saturday night when a gunman ordered him to give up his money. When the victim refused, the gunman struck him with the gun and fled.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A 13-inch color television, some food, an iron, and various articles of women's clothing were stolen sometime before 10:30 p.m. Sunday from a home in the 1600 block of Lorman Court. Entrance was gained when someone smashed out a front window with a hammer. An occupant of the home spotted a man and a teen-age boy leaving the apartment and notified police, who later arrested the pair a short distance away and recovered the items. The adult was identified as Nathaniel Floyd, 30, of the 300 block of N. Mount St.; the other suspect was not identified because he is a juvenile.

ROBBERY TRY: Northern District -- A resident of the 3100 block of St. Paul St. was walking in the first block of E. 31st St. Wednesday morning when she was stopped by a man who asked her for money. Before the woman could respond, the man struck her over the head with a bottle and fled without robbing her.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 300 block of N. Monroe St. was in the 1300 block of N. Carey St. on March 9 night when he was attacked by three men who struck him with metal pipes and robbed him of $1. The victim was taken to Bon Secours Hospital, where he was treated and released.

ASSAULT: Northwestern District -- A man walking in the 3600 block of Woodland Ave. reported he was threatened Monday by a man who demanded his money and was hit with a pipe. The attacker fled without taking any money.

THEFT: Southern District -- A man was stopped by a security officer at the Stop, Shop & Save store in the 1900 block of W. Pratt St. when he attempted to leave the store Sunday morning without paying for items valued at nearly $30. The man was allowed to leave, but charges against him were pending. The property was recovered.

ARMED ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Two men, both armed with handguns, barged into the Poplar Grove Laundromat in the 900 block of Poplar Grove St. and forced the employees to give them $350 in cash. The incident occurred about 3 p.m. Monday.
