SHOOTING: Western District -- Michael Jones of the 1100 block of W. Mulberry St. was shot in the back and right hand about 6 p.m. Tuesday when he was caught in the cross-fire of two men in a shootout in the 1300 block of Edmondson Ave. He was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The gunmen still were being sought.

STABBING: Northern District -- Joanne Walker of the 700 block of E. 36th St. was stabbed in her right arm during an argument at 2 a.m. Tuesday with a man in the 700 block of E. 36th St. The man, whose identity is known, was still being sought. The victim was treated at Union Memorial Hospital.

ASSAULT: Northern District -- A man reported that another man struck him with an iron pipe as he walked in the 3300 block of Calvert St. about 9:50 a.m. Tuesday. The man was not seriously injured and no money was taken.

AUTO THEFT: Northern District -- A motorist who was stuck in a snow drift Tuesday morning in the 6100 block of Marlora Road asked a passer-by to help him get his car out. The passer-by assisted and the pair were able to free the car, a 1981 Peugeot, but the stranger then drove off and left the owner behind.

LARCENY: Northern District -- A man went to a house Tuesday in the 600 block of McCabe Ave. where one of his friends had recently moved out and told the current occupant that he was going to pick up the man's belongings as a favor. He collected a television, a videocassette recorder and a video game, all of which his friend was storing at the house. The man did not deliver the items to their owner and is believed to have absconded with them.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Jessie Parham, 31, of the 2300 block of E. Oliver St., was arrested shortly after a burglary that occurred Monday at a garage in the 4400 block of Bedford Road. A bicycle was allegedly stolen but was later recovered. The suspect was charged with burglary and theft.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone kicked out the glass of the front door of Billy's Barber Shop in the 3400 block of Greenmount Ave. Tuesday morning and stole a set of electric barber clippers worth $100.

AUTO THEFT: Northwestern District -- A 1992 Chevrolet was stolen Monday or Tuesday after having been parked in the 6600 block of Eberle Drive.

AUTO THEFT: Northwestern District -- A 1990 Nissan Stanza was stolen sometime before 1:35 a.m. Tuesday after having been parked in the 3600 block of W. Garrison Ave.

ARMED ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A man with a gun threatened the manager of the Pay-Less Shoes store in the 2700 block of W. Cold Spring Lane about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and removed an unknown amount of money from the cash register.

AUTO THEFT: Northeastern District -- A 1992 Subaru Legacy was stolen between 12:30 a.m. and 3:25 a.m. Tuesday from the driveway of a home in the 4500 block of Hamilton Avenue.

STABBING: Northeastern District -- A man was stabbed in the hip Tuesday night with some type of jagged blade after he was attacked by another man in the 3600 block of Dudley Ave. The victim was treated at the scene.

LARCENY: Northwestern District -- Someone stole $305 from a cash drawer at the Plaza Bridal Shop, 6700 block Reisterstown Road, about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday.

PURSE SNATCHING: Western District -- A woman reported she was shoved to the ground about 7:30 p.m. Monday in the 2700 block of Harlem Ave., and a man grabbed her purse containing $30 in cash.

ARMED ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one armed with a revolver, threatened a man in the 1200 block of Cloverdale Road about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday and robbed him of $250.

ARMED ROBBERY: Western District -- A man reported he was robbed of $10 after another man came up behind him about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday as he was walking in the 2300 block of Druid Hill Ave. and pressed what felt like a gun against his back.

Baltimore County

ARMED ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- Two men, one with a gun, stole an undisclosed amount of money Tuesday night from the Little Caesar's Pizza shop in the 5600 block of Baltimore National Pike.

AUTO THEFT: Cockeysville District -- A 1992 Jeep Cherokee was stolen Tuesday night after having been parked at the Crestridge Office Center, 10000 block York Road.

GRAND THEFT SHOPLIFTING: Cockeysville District -- Three *T suits worth a total of $1,588 were reported stolen from the Panache Limited store, 10700 block Falls Road. The theft is believed to have occurred March 11.

AUTO THEFT: Towson District -- A 1992 Ford Taurus was stolen between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. after having been parked at the Towson Town Center.
