Slain trooper's wife to speak at meeting

The next meeting of the Eastern District Police-Community Relations Council is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mountain Road station.

Virginia Wolf, wife of a state trooper murdered on Interstate 95 several years ago, and Debbie Tall will speak about the Victims Rights Coalition and answer questions.

Afterward, police officials will be available to answer questions about local law enforcement.

The council, a volunteer group open to the public, also is planning a tour of the county's emergency 911 communications center in May.

Speed skaters bring home 51 ribbons

The Pasadena Speed Team participated in a skating meet Feb. 28 in Dover, Del. The team came home with 51 ribbons.

The following team members won one or more first-place ribbons:

Amanda Bathras, Nathaniel Brown, Katie Magill, Tim Bathras, James Khoui, Kenneth Clemons, Ruthie Fisher, Tracey Gott, Stacey Taylor, Frank Helsel, Shelton Gough, Alfred Gough, Aimee Bradford and Wayne Kopecki.
